The climate in Mae Hong Son Province is tropical. In general, the year can be divided into 3 distinct seasons. The hot and dry season is from March to June, the rainy season is from July to October, and the cooler and dry season is from November to February.
During the hot, dry season, no more leaves are in the trees. The flora drys out, and it can be smoky.
The most enjoyable season is definitely from September to January: lush green nature, fresh mornings, and an evening breeze.
It is the best time to go kayaking or explore the surroundings.
